Catrin/Cadi
I've checked the archives and have found nothing on this so I apologize if I've overlooked something, but does anyone know how to pronounce the name Catrin (Welsh form of C/Katherine)? Also, does anyone know how Cadi came about as Catrin's short form?TIA

Catrin is pronounced CAT-rin. The 'a' is short and the 'r' is rolled (so it almost sounds like CAT-er-rin).D's and T's are occasionally interchangeable in Welsh names c.f. Trystan and Drystan or Tarren and Darren. Catrin probably went to Cati and then to Cadi.

Thanks, Elea! I had thought Catrin was pronounced CAT-rin. Then again, I wondered if it might be pronounced ca-TREEN. It's nice to know for sure.
