Do variants count as separate names?
I submitted Korean names, many of the same original name but with a different spelling/romanization, but then a lot of the variant spellings were deleted. Does this mean that names of variant spellings do not count as separate names?

Oh hi chineseminorities.co.I'm the one who edited your names. I deleted some of the variants because some of them are the McCune-Reischauer romanization of the names. For example, you submitted the names Sŏng-Il and Song-Il. Meanwhile Sŏng-Il is the McCune-Reischauer romanization of the name Seong-il, the name Sŏng-Il itself is not being used as a given name, apart from being a romanization.I deleted the others, such as Ilho, Chulho, and Song A, because they are just the orthographic variations of the names Il-ho, Cheol-ho, and Song-a. In my opinion, you don't need to submit different name entries for names like Tae-se and Taese. The orthographic variations can be put on the "Forms" section instead.Anyways I'm sorry in advance. You can contact me if you have any other questions about the topic.
Also, if I submit Chinese names, should it be only in Pinyin or with Wade-Giles transcription too?
I don't think you can submit Chinese names in Wade-Giles romanization, these site won't allow special characters such as the superscript numbers that are denoting the tones. But you can put them in the "Forms" section instead. In my opinion, names in Pinyin are more preferable.
Okay. Thank you.
