I know I am not the first person to say this, but Chihiro Fujisaki, the Ultimate Programmer from Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc (2010).
I don't think 尋 stands for seek, searching in this case.尋ねる means ask or inquire but is pronounced as "tazuneru" not "hiro"."hiro" for 尋 means "arm span". Japanese fishers often use hiro as unit of line length and depth. So Chihiro means thousand times of arm span depth. Very similar to "abyss", deliberation. [noted -ed]
I feel that Chihiro is quite a neutral name, since Chihiro Fujisaki from Danganronpa was a boy cross-dressing as a girl, and no one suspected him of being a boy because of his name. However, Chihiro's name was probably given to him from birth.
This is just my speculation.
Cute! In a western sense maybe better as a middle name, but I still like it. Reminds me of Ghibli :)
