Doria Markle is Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex's mother.
Doria Ragland is the mother of HRH the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle.
Really cute.
The name is somewhat pretty - but I like Daria more. I guess female names with the "a" sound are more intriguing to me.
Doria actually has a Greek origin, and it means "of the sea" or "from Doris," a Greek city. Doros is also a legendary Greek hero.
Megan Markle's mom is named is Doria :D.
My name is Doria, and I'm a girl from 2004. It's unique and I like it.
5 girls born in the USA (2015) were given Doria.
Doria Shafiq (1908–1975) was one of the very first women who led to the women's liberation movement in Egypt in the early 1950s. (Could this name be Egyptian?)
In Inkdeath, by Cornelia Funke, there is a character called Doria except he is a boy. I really like Doria on a boy. I was shocked when I saw on here that it was a girls name.
I actually find the name pretty, and it doesn't sound out of place in English-speaking countries like Daria sort of does. The name is simply too close to Dorian, which comes from an Oscar Wilde play, and I hate that man.
