I am uncertain of the meaning, but it might be etymologically related to Bradamante and/or Rhadamanthos. Rodomonte was the name of a king in the epic poems "Orlando innamorato" by Matteo Maria Boiardo and "Orlando furioso" by Ludovico Ariosto.
