Whetu... a soul imbued with the brilliance of the night. She twinkles with an allure that speaks to the soul, carrying the mystique and wonder of the cosmos in her wake. A promise of guidance and inspiration, she is a seed scattered across heaven, illuminating the paths of those brave enough to dream. She carries the legacy of her unassailable ancestors, resilience and courage woven within her starry letters. She is an eternal winking light in the dark, whose light will guide us collectively through the ages.
Tini "Whetu" Tirikatene-Sullivan, ONZ, (1932 – 2011) was a New Zealand politician. She was an MP from 1967 to 1996, representing the Labour Party and was New Zealand’s first Māori woman cabinet minister. At the time of her retirement, she was the second longest-serving MP in Parliament, being in her tenth term of office. She was one of twenty holders of the Order of New Zealand, the highest honour of the country.
Whetū is also used as a masculine name in Maori. However, it's more common for females. So, I think that the "Gender" of this name should be changed from "Feminine" to "Feminine & Masculine". Some evidence for this is that Whetū is also used as a name element in unisex and masculine Maori names. Some known male bearers of this name are Whetu Taewa (a New Zealand former professional rugby league footballer who represented New Zealand six times between 1989 and 1996), Whetu Douglas (a New Zealand rugby union player who currently plays as a loose forward for Canterbury in New Zealand's provincial rugby competition the Mitre 10 Cup), and Whetu Henry (a New Zealand former rugby league footballer who represented New Zealand in the 1977 World Cup).Sources: https://forebears.io/x/forenames/whetu

The 'wh' is pronounced 'f' in Maori, so this name is pronounced fetu.
