This is NOT AN ENGLISH NAME, the fact that it coincides with an English word is a coincidence and doesn't ruin it because NOT EVERYBODY ON THIS PLANET SPEAKS ENGLISH.
Y'all when a name from a different culture doesn't sound well in every single language: 😡😡😭😭🤮🤮.
I like how French it is, but don't care for the bland sound.
I’ll hazard a guess and say the current meaning of “bland” probably stems from people using it in a sarcastic and/or euphemistic way more often than not. In any case, it’s used almost exclusively as an insult nowadays, synonymous with “boring” or “flavourless”. Maybe in other languages it retained a more positive meaning, but in English, this is more likely to sound like a joke name than anything else.
Why the heck would you want to name your daughter something that literally has the word "bland" in it?
Lovely name. I like the sound!
I dunno guys, I think this name's kinda bland.
I don't like this name, for the obvious reason that it starts with the word "bland". Also kinda sounds like "blondie" and "blunder".
So, in the English language, we get our word "bland" from the Latin word for "charming?" Oxymorons galore. And no, I'm not a fan of Blandine.
It starts in the word "bland"! Not a very nice name.
