This is gonna sound weird and nerdy lolol but the reason this caught my eye today as the Name of the Day is because on ModTheSims there is an insanely talented builder who goes by the username Zarathustra. And today I've learned it comes from an actual name. That's pretty neat! Also chiming in to say just because a name is difficult (for YOU) to pronounce doesn't make it bad. Names are tied to culture and we shouldn't be out here trying to diminish others because we're not willing to adapt.
This name is really cool, nothing wrong with it being long, the pronunciation isn't really that difficult.
Hey, just because a name is complex or hard to pronounce doesn't mean it's worthy of hate!
This sucks to pronounce.
Also Sprach Zarathustra/Thus Spoke Zarathustra is a famous work by Richard Strauss.
I like the meaning.
Aw, fun meaning! I wanna ride on a golden camel!
More like a bit of a feminine name, with the a at the end.
It is a beautiful name. For me, it’s kind of hard to get past the association with Nietzsche’s work. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but you may see it as one if you fundamentally disagree with Nietzsche’s thought.
In Friedrich Nietzsche's classic philosophy tome, Thus Spoke Zarathustra, Zarathustra is the central prophet. He left home at age 30 to live in the forests and caves in seclusion, until a decade later he returns to the land of the humans, brimming with wisdom and joy. He espouses various ideas such as the death of God, the transitioning from animal to man to superman, and the concept of the superman as the one who has surpassed all of the inhibitions of modern man.
This name has always sounded female to me. It must be the 'Zara' beginning and the 'a' ending.
