I like Alannah. Very pretty.

Hey there! For that pronunciation, I'd go with Alana. I prefer Alannah, but that's because I like it pronounced uh-LAN-uh and to me, that's the most phonetic spelling for it.

I think it's nice. I like the Alanna and Alannah spellings; Alana seems too much like Alan with an "a" tacked on the end (which I know it is, but Alannah seems a name in its own right, especially if you look at the extra Irish influence).

Always liked this name, I'd spell it either Alana or Alannah. I think I would be most likely to spell it Alana though.

I absolutely love this name, it is my favorite. But I like it pronounced "Ah Lay Nah" and spelled Alayna but Alana and Alanna/h are beautiful too.

For the easiest pronounciation I'd go w/ Alannah, as Alanna just looks sloppy & Alana looks like Alan-a.

I love it. Alan's a family name for me (my brother, who died of prematurity), so Alana's on my list of family names.

I only like it spelled Alana or Alaina (Alain being the French form of Alan). Alannah is a separate name to me, meaning "O child" in Irish; I like it, but it's not, strictly speaking, a feminine form of Alan--though one could use it for the Irish meaning and in honour of an Alan. Alanna just looks messy, and the N looks superfluous to me. Elana I intensely dislike, because you'd never spell Alan Elan.

I always think after names that end with an 'ah' sound, a short middle name like Rose or Grace is nice.
