[Facts] Meaning of last name of DeLaMatter
All I know about the name is it is French and belonged to my grandpa. I understand that it my have been changed over the years along time ago when they first came to America, but I do not know what the old spelling was.

"De la" means "of the" or "from the". La is the feminine form of Le, so Matter is a feminine word, I don't think it exists like this in French though... It surely changed a bit.
