[Facts] "Pacca" (either Old Norse or Anglo Saxon)
This relates to the name of a tribal leader, circa 950 - 1000ad
Any thoughts, welcome

"Pake" (pronounced PA-kuh) is the frisian word for father. I know frisian is the closest language to english and is related to saxon. just a thought, I'm into genealogy not etymology.

To Paul HeeremaHi, thanks for this, i knew that Pacca/ Pake was used as a name in Old English, but just couldn't crack the meaning. Where did you find this information? Is there a dictionary for Frisian?
I search your interest in genealogy, who are you researching?
