[Facts] Biblical name?
I thought Asebion might a biblical name, but haven't found it listed anywhere. The closest name I've found was Asenath (female). Asebion is a name I came across in my genealogical research. He was born about 1810 to a Baptist minister/emancipator named Carter. Has anyone ever heard of this name, or know where it originated from? I'd appreciate any help. Thanks!

I wasnt able to locate info on Asebion. So once again, its speculation time. Asebion does *mean* something in Greek: "impious life", from "asebis" (impious) and "bios" (life). Could "impious life" be adopted by a member of the Christian church? Quite possibly, in the tradition of "we are all sinners" lifeview.
