[Facts] Thanks for name advice...how about some more ; )
Thanks for the replys on the Kira-Kyra question! After posting here and on a few other message boards the concesses seems to be Kira, and I don't mind that spelling either so it might be a go, I just know with my own name how it is to deal with misprounciation so its pretty important to me, but I ain't naming my kid Jane either! Also I've got a few middle names anyone is welcome to vote/comment on or if you have other suggestions please let me know!Kira Belle***--Kira Hope--Kira Honnor--Kira Leigh--
Kira Ivy--Kira Paige--Kira Laurel--Kira Bree*** Someone else in another message board said that this sounded too much like Clara Belle..can anyone tell me why this is a bad thing..not familiar with the name??!!Thanks again!
(uh, next time boy names! LOL I'm not even sure if I'm having a boy or girl)

I have to vote for "Kira Leigh" - We had that middle name picked out for our second born, if he had been a girl!

Clara Belle was my great-grandmother's name, but more importantly, "Clarabelle" was the clown character on the early 50's Howdy Doody show. Naming your kid that would be like calling it "Bozo" or Krusty".Clarabelle honked his squeezebulb horn in reply to questions, but never said a word in all the years of the show until the last episode, when he whispered a "Goodbye, kids" at the end. A real heart-render, but you had to be there. Did I mention the first Clarabelle was Bob Keeshan, who went on to become Captain Kangaroo? But then, you never heard of HIM either...

You are right about Bob Keeshan being Clarabelle, but anyone who would lump Bozo and Krusty in the same sentence obviously doesn't know any real clowns.

Captain Kangaroo was a crossdresser???

I think Kira Paige would be a very nice name, I suits either a boy or a girl and it sounds unique and interesting!!!

P.S. - Middle Name Thing!I know, I know, I've been reading some posts about the unimportance or need of a middle name! I can't help it, I'm old school I'd like to have a middle name too picked out too :)

Middle names are very important!!!Don't let people talk you out of giving your child a middle name, just make sure it is something they won't be embarassed to
tell people. Also, I recommend a name that means "strong" or "courageous" because they are going to need that characteristic
by the time they are in school.

I was among those who thought it was unnecessary with middle names,
but if you really (I wonder why?)want your child to have one then
it of course your opinion which counts and not mine.
I would then prefere the middle name "Ivy" since it is easy to hear which letters it consists of. Belle will probably be pronounced as Bell and then why add that extra e?Perhaps it is just I, but I think that names are to be clear with as few odd spellings as possible. That will also make it easier for your child to learn to spell his/her own name.
