[Facts] Alexavier and Dashiell
Does anybody know what these mean? I've seen them on other boards and like them but they're not in the database here. Are they made up?

I'm guessing Alexavier is a blend of Alex and Xavier.Dashiell is a name. I think it originated as a surname.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dashiell_Hammett
Wikipedia has under an American author called Dashiell Hammett, Dashiell being his mother maiden name. It states that "Dashiell (the name being an Americanization of the French De Chiel". http://babelfish.altavista.com/tr
Babel Fish tells me "de chiel" means of chiel. Yes, I truly have no knowledge of French.

Well, this page here:
http://www.ancestralfindings.com/surnames/surnamepost/surnames_d_3.htm
also talks about the proposed Dashiell - de Chiel link. There is, however, no modern French word 'chiel'. But while googling around I noticed that the French de Chiel family is hundreds of years old so the name must be Old French, not French. I suspected that Old French chiel is the same as modern French ciel (sky, heaven). It seems that I was right because I could find pages like the following really using chiel this way:
