[Opinions] Noa

A guy that I work with has a baby girl named Noa. WDYT?
Personally I'm not fond of it. It seems incomplete, and the most salient part of the name is the word No.

It's nice enough, but with the popularity of Noah, I'm afraid she'll be known as "Noa without the H" or "Girl Noa", know what I mean? It could be worse, but I would stay away from it.

I think it's beautiful. In Hebrew, the h at the end of Noah is pronounced (guttural sound), so Noa is more distinctly its own name.

ok, but I'd just go ahead and use Noah...which, as Eliora noted, is a girl's name. (See the Old Testament, Numbers Ch. 27)

It's very high on my list, though not high enough I'm likely to use it. I think it's beautiful.

I think it sounds all right, but I'm not particularly fond of it. It's nice.

Its not so popular here in the UK, like Noah is. I like it a lot and I don't think it sounds incomplete. I think that's just the feminine form of Noah. I don't think Simon looks incomplete without the "e" at the end which makes Simone. Maybe it seems incomplete to you and others because it only has three letters.

nah, my brothers name has only 3 letters, and its fantastic!

Um, Noa is not the feminine form of Noa.Noah is a female name. Noah was actually Noach - it was a transcription error. Noa is just another spelling of Noah.

I think it's a boy name only and it seems unfinished without the H at the end.

I love it!It's on my list, but unfortunately...most people would see it as Noah.I'm glad he used it, though!

I don't like it. It's a form of Noah which I don't like either.

I love it, I'd consider using it if it wasn't so popular here (and if I was expecting :P). It ranked 16th for girls last year in the Netherlands...
