I think Gertrude is really nice. I think of the excellent Gertrude Stein; as long as you didn't name a sister Alice (Ms. Stein's life partner), you'd be good. :D Gertruda, I don't dig so much.
If you like Trudy, I think it'd be fair to use it on its own.
