Message: "Schuyler or Skylar?"

[Opinions] Schuyler or Skylar?

I tend to prefer the traditional spelling of Schuyler, but I love the nn Sky so Skylar appeals to me (not Skyler at all though, since I tend to think of that as masculine, Schuyler unisex, and Skylar feminine). It would be used on a girl, thoughts?

I dislike both because Schuyler makes me want to say "Shoo-ler" and I don't like Skylar because it is so trendy.

Hmmm, I actually think Schuyler looks more masculine, and I'd use Skylar for a girl. I like it.

I perfer Schuyler no matter the gender. And I think you could easily call the child Sky if Schuyler is the full name.

Skylar for me

Schuyler doesn't give off the right pronunciation, IMO. It makes me want to say "shwy-ler", or "skwy-ler". That U just throws me off!

I prefer the spelling Skylar, but I don't like the name at all.
It's also a maskulin name for me (though then Skyler is better).

Girl = Skylar to me all the way. I shouldn't like it, given my usual tastes, but I do. And Sky.
Boy = Schuyler.
Skyler is ambiguous.

I prefer Skylar with the nn Skye but I may be a little biased.
