[Opinions] Isis?
I've always liked this name to some extent, but it's caught my eye as of late. I really like it because of its similarity to the name Iris (a favorite name that unfortunately bears a negative association in my family). WDYT? Is Isis too strange and mythological, or can it work? And do you like it?

I really prefer the sound of Iris. It's just a little softer on my ears or something.I'm not a huge fan of god/dess names on humans either, so that's part of it as well. Even though both are goddesses, Iris I associate more with flowers (and eyeballs).

It definitely works; I like it a lot. It brings to mind a beautiful girl/woman - I seriously can't imagine a homely Isis, lol! I also think an Isis would be very strong, yet feminine - much like Iris. :)

I like it, I think it could deffinatley work. I came across a sibset of Isis and Delphi, and I thoguht they were perfect together. Great name, very intersting, and I like names with stories to them.

My sister's best friend is named Isis.So yes I think it works. I am used to the Isis I know, who is about to turn 10 soon and in fourth grade and of Hispanic descent. I like it alot. I think it would be fine, but then again I am used to it :)

i love it. Use with caution, though. It is a very powerful name. It would need to be bestowed upon a very powerful soul.

Isis is a beautiful name. I think it works nicely, and the mythological context makes it much more alluring and exciting ... to me at least!
