[Opinions] Verity
Rereading the sixth harry potter book and this was one of the random names of unimportant characters. if you follow the books, she worked in the weasley twins' shop. I kind of like the way it sounds: Verity. WDYT?

I first heard the name watching the 1970's BBC series, "Poldark." One of the minor characters is Verity and I fell in love with the name. (Incidentally, one of the main characters is Demelza. Isn't that a HP name too?) While I haven't read any of the books or seen any of the movies, I hear about the character names a lot on these boards. I've often wondered if JKR and I watched the same TV shows / read the same books. We have similar taste in literary names: Fleur (Forsyte Saga), Parvati (Jewel in the Crown), and Verity. Anyway, Verity is gorgeous. I hope it catches on as its own name, not "just" a HP name. I know one girl names Katherine Verity (= pure truth) that would be about ten years old by now. When did the HP books come out?

Wow, I never noticed that! It's my cousins name, and I love it :) I think it's very spunky, I like the meaning- and, ofcourse, I have a good association ;) I also love Veritas for a boy.Verity: (cuz she's just too darn cute)

I don't really like Verity (I'm not too fond of most V names, for that matter), but I AM a big fan of the sort-of-similar Amity.
