[Opinions] Kyra?
WDYT pronounced the right way KIE-ra not KEE-ra! Its actually a name I was thinking of changing my name too. My dad told me the other day this was a name they were going to use...but instead they called me Donna which I hate so...thoughts on Kyra please :D Thanks

Well, I'm not a fan of Donna, and I prefer Kyra. But...I don't like it enough to support you wanting to change your name to it. I really, really, really prefer Kira (KEE-ra). Kyra just sounds like you're trying to sound exotic and mysterious, and I'm sure it will sound even more like this if you change your name to it (as opposed to being able to blame it on the 'rents). But that's just imo.

I prefer Kira (keer-uh)

I love Kyra. I like most -yra names, in fact: Myra, Tyra, Lyra, and Cyra (SIE-ruh) in particular is growing on me. It's related to Kyra, obviously, so that might interest you as well. :)

I prefer Kira pronounced KY-ra, but Kyra is nice as well, and it is better than Donna.

Love the KIE-ra prn!

Hmmm. I don't really like the spelling Kyra, but I'd prn it KY-ra instead of KEE-ra. The 2nd prn I would spell Kira... and I really like that prn/spelling better in general.
For your purposes, though, I'd go with Kyra (KY-ra) since that's what you could have been and that's how you like it :)

Kyra is nice, but I don't think you need to change your name. What is your middle name?

My middle name is Anne...which I also hate and never use :( my parents weren't very imaginative im affraid heheETA - ive changed my posting name just to try it out for a while, I might find I really hate it.

Kyra is nice enough, but it's not a favourite and doesn't exactly have a thrilling meaning. I'm also worried it would get confused with the popularity of Keira, Ciara etc. I personally prefer Donna. That said, I wouldn't shudder to meet a Kyra :)

i like kyra but it would probably get mispronounced a lot hmmm...
kaira or kiyra i dont know

Kyra will probably be mispronounced less than Kaira or Kiyra. Its not so much the spelling that could get confused with Keira and co. its the sound.
