[Opinions] Re: Kay
I only like Kay for a boy. Somehow I think it sounds NNy for a girl, but not for a boy. Combos I like:Kay Michael
Kay Arthur
Kay Edward
Kay RupertHowever, as I'm thinking about it now I realize that it sounds a lot like gay, especially if you just say it without specifically emphasizing the k. So I think that would put me off of it for either gender -- not because I mind the connotation, but because I tend to stay away from any names that sound a lot like words. I don't consider using Annalise either, even though I like it, because I can't "analyze" and "anal-lise" out of my head. Same with Tobin. I always hear toe-bin. So...that might be something to think about. It might not bother you as it does me.

(m)I see your point. I have never really thought about this, as I often like names such as River, Wind or Summer.Thank you for replying, I will keep it in mind :)

Ah, but you see...I like quite a few word names too. River, Willow, Alder, and Taiga come to mind. But it's very different to have a name that actually IS a word - and is therefore self-aware and okay by me - than to have a name that just sounds similar to a word and therefore can bring in associations that may or may not be desired. Does that make sense?
