[Opinions] WDYTO Jared?
I've always had a soft spot for the name Jared. I'm kind of ashamed to admit it, because it seems on a par with the rugged, cowboy, starts with a J type boys' names that were all the rage twenty to thirty years ago and have become trite, such as Joshua, Jason, and Justin. But I don't think that it was ever as popular as they were. And I can't stand a creative spelling for it, such as Jarrod. But I do like the Jared spelling. What do you think of it?

I don't like any spelling beside Jared, and even then I find the name terribly dated.

I went to high school with several Jareds. I think there were seven out of a class of 180 or so. It's a nice enough name, but I am heartily sick of it.

Jared is a great name

Not my fave, but a nice, normal name (and spelling). BTW, I love Justin, lol.

I love Jared. It's probably in my top-10, at least. Except, can't use it, 'cause best friend and I knew a guy named Jarrett, and now anything that sounds like 'Jarrett' makes us think of him-- which is not good.

Not a huge fan, somehow it looks odd, as if it were the participle of the hypotethical verb "to jare".

I don't mind the name and agree that Jared is the best spelling. It's not a name you hear very often, so it would be nice on a little boy these days.

I think it's very nice. Jared Leto is the first person to come to mind, and he's not cowboy-ish at all...

I think Jared is a nice name. Had my sister been a boy, her name would have been Jared Hamilton. I can definitely see the appeal, and in fact, when I was younger, it was my favorite boys' name. It isn't at the top of my list anymore, but I still find it to be a classy-sounding name that will age well.
