[Opinions] Bridget.
I've suddenly taking a serious liking to Bridget. I love the meaning and the Goddess, and it's just such a cool name all together. WDYT? I'm thinking about Bridget Helena.

It's nice enough, if you can ignore the annoying Bridget Jones reference.

Yes, but I have a few other Bridgets to buoy it up with.:-D
I'm going to have to settle for "nice enough" I think. ;-)

I like Bridget, and I think Bridget Helena is a pretty name.

I quite like the combo and the names. I am glad my uncle married a great Bridget because I had a bad association with the name before (a girl I went to school with who now teaches in the same building as my mom). :-)

I absolutely adore Brigitte right now. (Yeah, that's brih-GIT-uh) Bridget always seemed a little short to me, but Brigitte doesn't. I do like Bridget Helena, though. (Is it possible to not like a name on its own, but like a combo?)

I, too, have taken a liking to Bridget. I just love it! I'm not sure why. I also love Gretchen and Kendra, I love the 3 as a sibset. Bridget Helena is pretty! I love it!

I really want to like it, because St. Bridget was pretty badass, but the associations with RL Bridgets I have known haven't yet faded. D: Maybe in a few years.I think I'd prefer Bridget Helen, honestly. Or really, Bridget Helaine, but I've yet to meet anyone else as fond of Helaine as I am. :) With Bridget, Helena just feels a little too now for me, while Helen grounds the name more.Array

Arg, that name was ruined for me...The first time I saw Helaine, the girl spelled it Halyna. Kre8iveness... *glowers*

How is Helyna supposed to sound like Helena?I know what you mean about over Kre8iyfnesse :DI mean, wouldnt Helyna be pronounced HEL-yna?
Besides, I think Helaiena is much more pleasing to the eye.

It was pronounced heh-LAYN-uh, which is what I thought Helaine was, too. But, remember the rule: It's a 'y', and therefore you can use it as any sound you want! *rylls eyys*ETA: Oops, I just saw Array's post further up. I guess it's not quite the same. My default German pronunciation of everything made Helaine into "heh-LAYN-uh".

HelaineYou could totally sell me on Helaine. I love -aine names, namely Germaine and Romaine. It doesn't take a lot to argue that Helaine is considerably more attractive than Germaine. :-)

I haven't met any Bridgets, thankfullyPart of the reason I'm so in love with the name at the moment is because of the character Brigette on Medium - I could so see my daughter being that way!Helena: X prefers it. Bridget is a name he's meh on and if I really wanted to use it I'd have to give him something in the bargain. Bridget Helen is pretty, especially with his last name. Oh well.

I've loved Bridget for a long time. It's sweet, but at the same time earthy and no-nonsense. Bridget Helena is beautiful.

I like Bridget too and I think that Bridget Helena is a lovely combo. Bridget to me sounds classy whilst not being too frilly,:0)

I always thought it was a cute name but it's off limits for me (I don't do god/goddess's names) even though some I adore (like Osiris).Bridget Helena is lovely and flows nicely.
