[Facts] Cynebil
I was reading up on St. Chad, and learned that he had a brother named Cynebil. Anyone know what it means? Bear in mind that, while Cynebil and Chad were both Anglo-Saxons, Chad possibly had a Celtic name, so Cynebil could be of either Anglo-Saxon or Celtic origin.

From looking at various entries in the surname dictionaries I own, it seems there were many Old English names with the first syllable Cyne, which meant "royal". "Bil", meanwhile, meant "sword" in Old English. So it's possible that Cynebil is a name which puts those two words together.
