Doesn't need one, in my opinion. It's a short name. I really don't get having a nickname for a name that can't be shortened - what's the point?
If you want to nickname someone with a short name, I think a nickname that pertains to their personality is more appropriate - nicknames like Pickle, Bug, Stringbean (etc) that denote affection and personal connection, like an inside joke. Otherwise, why would they need a nickname? Their name is already short.
If you wanted to shorten Soren, the only think I can think of is Ren, which I don't really like. Maybe Zor/Zur, if you're going with the traditional pronunciation?
