Help[Opinions] Felix or Leo??
I am 5 days away from my due date and still not sure of this little bean's name- I go back and forth a million times and think that perhaps I have narrowed it down to these two. I have a DD named Scarlett Jean and this one will have the middle name John after my dad.
1. What do you think about the names individually?
2. Which one do you think compliments Scarlett better?

I love Leo, but then again I know a great man named Leo (my best friend's hubby), so it makes the name so much easier to love! I think of a cat when I hear Felix.

Leo - I like it but I think it's a bit incomplete but I don't like any Leo-names that could be the full name. The only one I really like is Léon but that doesn't need a nn.
Felix - I love it. It's not a name I would use myself but I just think it's an adorable name and I would love to meet a little boy named Felix. I can't relate to the cat-thing since I have no idea who Felix the cat is. This would be my favorite of the two

I think both Leo and Felix go well with Scarlett but I don't think you should choose a name based on that. I can't really say that one is better than the other and both Leo John and Felix John are good combos.

Scarlett Jean is a very beautiful name! I love both Felix and Leo so it's hard to decide. I think I'd go with Felix. I just love the meaning of it. I'd probably prefer Leo if it was short for Leonard (we pr. it LAY-o-nard here) or Leopold but I think it's too nicknameish on its own even though I like it. I think they both go well with Scarlett Jean. So yeah I'd say Felix John.

I think that Leo is great, as a nickname or pet name, personally, I'd use a longer form for a FN. Felix is one of my very favorite boys names, so obviously, thats my choice.

Leo, Leo, a thousand times Leo. There is something ridiculous and effeminate about Felix. Ridiculous because of the Cat and The Odd Couple, and effeminate because it is.

I prefer Felix. It works best with Scarlett.

Both names are nice, but I would choose Leo. To me, Leo has a laid back, friendly vibe, whereas something about Felix seems a little sneaky and untrustworthy to me.
Here's a trick I use when posting on the boards about two names I'm deciding between-
What responses do you get more excited about? Do you smile and get most excited when someone gives you a positive Leo response or a positive Felix response? I ask this because more often than not I find that in my gut I'm already leaning one way, and this becomes more clear when I go to read what others have to say about my names.

Thank you so much for your advice- I actually completely know what you mean about hoping the responses go one way versus the other- I think in my heart Leo is the name I love so I really appreciate your feedback- it really did help:)

Personally, I like Felix better, but I think Leo complements Scarlett the best.
Scarlett, to me is spunky/romantic as is Leo. Felix is more quirky.
I think Scarlett and Leo fit the best, though they are a little "Hollywood" together... (Dicaprio and Johansen)

I think both names are great and that both go well with Scarlett Jean (which is also an awesome name). I think I prefer Leo, though it's a very tough call. Actually, I think "Scarlett and Leo" sounds a bit more natural that "Scarlett and Felix," so I suppose I also think the name goes a bit better with your daughter's name. So for me, Leo wins out individually and when paired with Scarlett. You definitely seem to have great taste in names! Congrats and good luck!

I like both names, but I like Felix a bit more. I also think it goes quite well with Scarlett.

I *heart* Felix. It has such a great meaning. I like Leo, but not nearly as much as Felix and I prefer Leo as a nn for Leonidas.
Felix and Scarlett would be a beyond awesome sibset, Scarlett and Leo sound good too but not nearly as "Wow". Also, Scarlett and Leo make me think of the celebrity Scarlett & Leo, which wouldn't be a deal-breaker for me if I loved the name but its something to keep in mind.
Felix John also sounds better as a combo, Leo John is rather choppy.
Why not take both names to the hospital and decide when you are holding him? Good luck, and keep us posted :)
