Don't know if you're still looking for orgin or meaning of the name Nyah. But just in case you are.....I located the name on the web about 2 1/2 yrs ago after I decided to name my daughter Nayah. It wasn't easy. From what I can remember it came from African decent, or (don't know if spelling correctly) Swahili. The names meaning was "Purpose". Hope this helps.
