I love Ariel on boy. I would love to meet one.

My first reaction was to say no way it's far to feminine, but the more I look at the name the more unisex it seems to me. I'd only ever use it on a girl though with the spelling Arielle.

Ariel for a boy rocks. It makes me think of a very fun-loving, mischievous kid.

Too cutesy for a boy. It's really grown on me for a girl, though, really.

I know a male Ariel :) He's from Israel and pronounces it like 'Ahr-ee-EL'I like it.

No. I like it for a girl. I think it's too feminine for a boy and he would get teased a lot. There's the little mermaid as well.

There's a guy that has been a close family friend for years and his name is Ariel (pron. Ah-reh-el) but everyone in my family, excluding my parents, call him Uncle Ari. I think it makes a great boys name as long as it's not pronounced like it is in The Little Mermaid.

It's fine if it's prn AH-ree-ul. Don't prn it the Little Mermaid way. He can go by Ari if he thinks his name is too feminine. WDYTO Adriel (AY-dree-ul)? It's similar to Ariel but I think it sounds more masculine.

I really like it, but depending on where he is living, it could be a tough name to grow up with as most people will assume Ariel is a girl. What about Aryeh (lion in Hebrew)?

I like Aryeh a lot! Thank you for posting it. :) I've never heard it before.

I like it. :] Although I prefer it on a girl, as I've come to associate it with the Ariel on the message boards.... But either way, it's lovely.
