[Opinions] Beatrice or Beatrix?
I can't decide which one I like better. What do you think? Beatrice sounds more regal and classic to me, while Beatrix is more spunky. We're having twins, and if one's a girl (hopefully) she'll be named Beatri____. I just can't decide. Any opinions? Combo ideas? Other kids are George and Philomena.

BeatrixI like the spunkiness of it, but it still sounds quite classical :)

If it were Beatrix, would you pronounce the "trix" as written?

Yep. BEE-uh-trix.

Beatriceif you would've asked me six months ago I would have said Beatrix without a doubt, but now I'm really loving Beatrice. It sounds... smoother to me. It's soooooo pretty! Beatrice, George and Philomena would be an OUTSTANDING sibset! Beatrix is great too, though :)

BeatrixWhile I enjoy both, I think that a little Beatrix will look fabulous listed among siblings named George and Philomena. Beatrice makes the set look very "dated" and old-fashioned (which isn't bad, don't get me wrong!) while Beatrix is a little edgier but still a classic name. It gives the set more glamor and oomph.

They're both lovely. My personal favourite is Beatrice, with the Italian pronunciation, but Beatrix goes better with your other children I think. :)

BeatriceIt sounds softer, more classic, and I generally just don't like X. :)

BeatrixI love Beatrix Amelia.

I just prefer the sound of Beatrice. I suppose it's because I once knew a lady named Trixie. She was nice enough but her name was tragic, imo. The thought of Beatrix turning into Trixie would give me pause.

Beatrix! It's my most favorite name. My combo is Beatrix Annora Maud. I love Trixie as a nickname, sooo cute!I liked Beatrice until someone told me all they saw was the words "beat" and "rice", now all I think of with Beatrice is "beat rice"...
