Help[Opinions] Elsa or Cheyenne?
Most of you know that my favorite combo is Elsa Cheyenne. Both names are honoring (but they don't honor the same person). At the moment I'd like to call her Cheyenne nn Chey (pronounced like Shy) but Elsa is growing on me. I always liked it but in the last few days I really began to love it.

Maybe on principle I'd prefer Elsa, but in practical application I can't stand it. I think it's just dumpy and homely. It has what a friend of mine calls "thrift store mafia" essence all over it; it seems like it'd be a sort of smug, quasi-alternative option that would have been someone's alleged darling "before it was popular."

That's quite an analysis! I love the term "thrift store mafia"!!
However, since the poster says the name is meant to honor a friend, if I were the her I wouldn't worry about such judgments.
I had a friend named Elsa whose parents were (Christian) immigrants from India. It did seem a little bit quaint, but definitely cool. I guess the personality of the bearer makes the biggest impression.

I like Elsa; it is cute and classy. I think I'd like Elisa a little more, though.
But I vastly prefer Elsa over Cheyenne.

I don't particularity like either, but between the two...
...I'd go with Elsa. It will age better and who knows, maybe it will be one of the next names to be revived. It's got that old-lady spark to it! :)

I like it all together, and that's it. It flows nicely, and the contrast is great.
I don't like either name individually. For Cheyenne, you can just look to others' comments. As for Elsa, I disagree with some there, especially about it being uncommon or refreshing. Sometimes "simple" is just simple.
I wouldn't take my opinion, though, as there are very few short names I like. Elsa stood no chance with me. It sounds nice, yeah, but it's a few letters too short. ;)

Elsa will age better and it isn't trendy like Cheyenne. Cheyenne is just tacky to me. Elsa is just simple and pretty to me where Cheyenne doesn't sound nice to my ears.

Definitely Elsa!
It's soo amazing, and everytime I see your Elsa Cheyenne combo (which is like every other post!), I get so sad when you say "Elsa Cheyenne, called Cheyenne", because it's such a waste of the prettier name in the combo. It actually has made me start to hate Cheyenne, I get so mad at it for taking over Elsa's more deserved spot!

Because I think it's a very pretty name (in both pronunciation and spelling) although it may not have such a nice meaning.
Although Elsa has a better meaning, I do not like it because it seems too old-fashioned and sounds like an old lady name. My cousin's cat was also named Elsa.

Cheyenne is tacky and cheap sounding. It is super trendy and will not age well IMO. Now, if it does honour then use it in the mn position, and keep it in the mn position (i.e. don't refer to her as Cheyenne nn Chey). Elsa, on the other hand, is strong, refreshing and has an amazing history and is not trendy or common but is easily recognisable and easy to pronounce. All the things to look for in a great name IMO.
