[Opinions] Edith
I had a dream last night that I had a second baby named Edith. WDYO of this name on its own merits and as part of a sibset with Charlotte?

I didn't like it at first and just thought it was an old lady name, even though I do like other old lady names. It's grown on me though, over the past few years and I really like it now, especially with the nn Edie.

It would be good as a sibset with Charlotte.
I like the name myself. It wouldn't do, in my French-speaking area, as the "th" sound doesn't go well in French, invariably it's "Edit".

I think Edith is beautiful and would be so refreshing on a baby girl today and compliments Charlotte nicely. Id rather see a Charlotte and Edith sibset than a Charlotte and Sophia or something like that.

I think Edith is lovely. I don't see it as an old lady name at all really. It has a cute nn, Edie, too. I think it could go quite well with Charlotte.

I love Edith! It's so cute and fresh and happy. And I love the nickname Edie. I think it goes great with Charlotte too.

Personally, I like Edith a lot. I also like Enid, which has a similar feel to me. The nickname Edie is adorable. To be honest, I'm not sure that I'd actually ever use it, though. It's the srt of name that evokes strongly negative reactions from just enough people to make me wary.

That was my concern as well. What else is Edie a nn for?

Edith is beautiful and full of charm. Old lady-chic which lends itself to sound fresh on a child.Charlotte and Edith sounds fabulous together. Two thumbs up. If I had a third thumb, it would be up, too.

Too old lady.Edith, Edna, Enid...whenever I hear these, I just think of old ladies in wheelchairs.

I love Edith - I think it's sweet, pretty, & sophisticated. I love the nickname Edie, too. Charlotte & Edith is a lovely sibling set!

I'm fond of Edie as a nickname as well, and Edith sounds more sophisticated and classic than Eden to me.

I like it. It was my great-grandmother's first name. I personally would only use it as a middle name though. I think it pairs nicely with Charlotte.
