[Facts] Idania
I work with someone from Mexico named Idania and I am curious to know the meaning. I've tried researching it in English and Spanish, but I can't come up with anything reputable. Any ideas?

I found this on thinkbabynames.com :
"The girl's name Idania \i-da-nia\ is a variant of Ida (Old German, Greek), and the meaning of Idania is "hardworking".
[...]
Idania is a very rare female first name and a very rare surname (source: 1990 U.S. Census)."I found that the name is of slavic origins on several other pages, though.
The name reminds me of Idony (English) or Iduna (German).
I hope this helps you ;)
