[Opinions] Bridget
What do you think of Bridget? A bit too 70s trendy? I'm surprised it never made the top 100. How many do you know?Bridget or Bridgette?

Was Bridget popular anywhere in the 70s? I used to see it as an old lady name - it one of the quintessential Irish women names. However my husband has a new cousin, who also happens to be a god daughter, called Bridget so the name has grown on me quite a lot.

I only like it because of associations; if I didn't know any I wouyld probably hate it. I know three Bridgets.
Bridget is better than Bridgette, because it is less likely to get misspelled.

I think Bridget is sweet. I don't really associate it with any one age group. I only know one 14-year-old with that name. I also like Brigita. :)

I like it and I prefer Bridget over Bridgette.I've met two- One was my older sisters friend, so probably about 30 now. The other was a girl my age who I went to high school with.

I think it's pretty. I don't associate it with the 70's at all. I don't associate it with anything but maybe a classic Irish name. I know I've encountered a few Bridgets in my life, but I think of various ages. I can't think of any specific ones though, so I'd say I know zero of them.I like Bridget better.

I really like Bridget, I think it's very cute. I know quite a few Bridgets but I live in a very Irish area and most of them are a bit older (60+) and born in Ireland or are little girls named after the older relative. I can't think of any that were born in the 70's. I prefer Bridget over Bridgette.
