[Opinions] Re: Faith
in reply to a message by Lily8
I really really love Faith for a girl. The problem for me is that I'm an atheist so I can never use it myself (nor would I really want to, but it does sound nice). I don't think it is too common, and I don't think there is a big chance of there being another Faith in a class at school.
I know one Faith and she is now 12. I know of one person with it as a mn, Catherine Faith. I suspect it is much more common as a mn in the US than in Australia judging from the BAs I have read. I would assume the parents of a Faith were religious. I think it is a weird name to use for your kid if you have no Faith yourself. I know for me, 'faith' as such is not really a virtue and I also wouldn't want people to assume that I or my child was religious. Plus, the kid of non-religious parents is likely to grow up non-religious themselves and being non-religious and named Faith would pretty ironic. Faith Camilla
