What would you think of Auden used for a boy?

I love it for either sex (wow, never thought that'd come out of my mouth...) I first came across it when the actor Noah Wylie(sp) had his little girl. They named her after the poet. But I love the nickname Audie (like Audie Murphy who was male), and Auden would be a good full name for this(even though Audie was AM's full first name). So to answer your question, yes, I like it used for a boy's name.Tempestgirl

I like it. It has a quirky charm to it that makes me picture a very intelligent kid who marches to the beat of his own drum.

I'd prefer Alden, but have no major issues with Auden. Looks rather feminine, but doesn't sound overly feminine.

I love this. Probally because I adore Wystan Hugh Auden's poetry, so I'd use it in honor of him!

I'd think it fell into the category of the other trendy -den names like Keiden, Aiden, etc.

Not bad. It's traditional, it's not too flashy, nice and humble.
