Of the two, I prefer Vivienne. I agree that Vivian isn't feminine enough. But I like Vivien more than either Vivienne and Vivian. Vivienne seems a little too feminine, and I think that Vivien strikes the right balance.

that I misread the question. And I can't edit my response because I wasn't logged in. I thought you asked which was preferred, Vivian or Vivien. Sorry.
So of those two, I prefer Vivien, because Vivienne is a little TOO frilly.
