Do you pronounce it LEE-ahn, le-ON, or something else? I speak English and most people where I live say LEE-ahn, but I usually think le-ON if I see it.

I think I say it "LEE-ahn" by your reckoning... I would say I say it "LEE-on" myself.

It said LEE-ahn here, which is why I don't like it, it sounds really nerdy in my accent. If I could use it and be sure it would get said le-ON, I would love it!

LEE-on for humans, le-ON for the region in Spain. So I suppose that the Spanish version could be used in English as a human name, given the fashion for geographical names; but it would generate questions!
