I prefer Anika and plan to use it if I ever have a second daughter, in honour of my grandmother Ana.

It's not really my style, but I like it anyways. I actually know a young girl named Annika, with sister Katrin.

I think it's alright.

I LOVE Annika when it's pronounced AH-nick-a, but I despise it pronounced ANN-ick-a. Annika is one of the few names that my fiance and I actually agree on :) I think it's pretty without being too feminine, and different enough to stand out. A lovely name.

It's one of the Ann/Anna variants that I actually like. It's a very nice name, and I don't think you have to have Scandinavian heritage to use it.

I like it a lot. For me it's a race between Annika, Anneliese and Anya. Right now Annika's winning I think.

It wouldn't work in my case (no Scandinavian connection at all) and I have never met a real person named Annika. That being said, I used the name on my Mass Effect (video game) character and I love it on her.I think it's pretty and ages well, but is also a little harsher than the trendy pretty names of today.

It's a decent name, but not one of my preferred Ann- names.

I think it is pretty, especially if it is with the double n.

Ugh..It's very popular here among women aged 30-45 or something. I don't like it on a child, and I don't really like it on a adult either.
One of my mother's friends is named Annika (she has a sister named Anneli), and one of her daughters is one of my best friends.

I like it. When it's pronounced properly, it's stunning!

I don't like it. The sound is just not appealing to me. I love Anne, though, so it must be the -ika that don't like!
