I love Kendra. It's even on my list.I'm probably influenced by Kendras I knew growing up, but it seems outgoing and assertive, smart and attractive. It's also unpretentious. And ... well, my experience has been that it is used across races; this is a plus for me, that it is not stereotyped as "white girl" or "black girl" in my mind.

Its a very 'American' name to me. I had never met a Kendra before until I went to the US last year and I had quite a few little girls at Summer Camp with the name. I haven't met or heard of a Kendra since I left the US either.I don't really think a lot about it at all- its just a nothing name to me. It is fine as a name but its not something I'd particularly like to see used at the same time.

I never minded the name, but for the last few years I've thought it's a little to "stripper" or "Playboy model" to actually use! Unfortunate, as it is nice.

I think it's pretty and fairly underused. I only know of a couple, and it seems like a fairly ordinary (if unusual) and *nice* name.

I like Kendra. The "ken" part is a little masculine for my taste. But overall, the feminized form of Kendrick gets the thumbs up from me. Are you interested in mn suggestions for Kendra?

I knew a Kendra. She was younger than me, and a very sweet girl. Brown hair, large, pretty, brown eyes. She gave me a positive image of the name.

I used to loooove Kendra as a little girl. I thought it was just the most beautiful name. I had never met anyone with the name and it seemed so remote and exotic. When I was about 12 I met a 16 year old Kendra who was tall, blonde and beautiful and that only made me love it more. I was totally dazzled.Somewhere along the line I totally got over my Kendra love and forgot all about it. I sort of came to think of the name as 90's dated recently, but then met a little black girl named Kendra a few years ago. It's kind of a no-category name for me know. Not dated, but not classic; vaguely interesting but doesn't really stand out in any sort of way. It's a very polite name. Pretty in a middle-class regular girl next door way.

It makes me think of the playmate immediately (Hugh Hefner's ex girlfriend). She's the only one I've heard of with the name (even though it was in the top 100 in the 80s) so I wouldn't use it.It also feels like a short form even though it isn't. Not like a full name for some reason. Maybe because it reminds me of Kenna and Kenzie.
