Liatris

is a plant I have in my garden, it looks like this:

I think I'd prefer that spelling to Leatress.
Eli is okay, it's a little overly Biblical for me. Iona and Keira sound fine as sisters.

I have always loved Leatrice but it gets no love from anyone I mention it to.

Eli is fine. Doesn't excite me much though.

Iona and Keira are fine for sisters.

I like Eli for a boy, Leatress's just weird.

Iona and Keira are ok for sisters, but I'm not that keen on Iona.

It might be, depending on the character. I'd find it very awkward in a realistic story.
