Help[Opinions] Miriam
I had a dream that Miriam was predicted to be one of the most popular names in the US within the next 20 years or so. I really like Miriam because it has a very pretty, happy sound to it, and it lends itself to plenty of cute nns like Miri and Mamie, but I checked out its popularity and it's pretty much always hovered around the 200-300 range. So, WDYT of Miriam? Do you think it could make the top 50 names anytime soon?

I like Miriam. I think it's very pretty. I don't think it will suddenly explode in popularity though, unfortunately.

Miriam is wonderful! It sounds like silk and lace and candlelight and pearls. It would be much nicer than a whole bunch of names above it in the charts, but I wouldn't dare to predict future American tastes in names!

I've always loved this name and here in Australia it isn't popular at all. I don't see it suddenly getting super popular.

I love Miriam! I think it has potential to climb to the top 50, it just may take a while.

I love it and would use it, hence ferventy hope it won't get in the top 50 anywhere, at least in the next 10 years or so:)

I think it's cute. I like the nn Miri. I would never use it, though.

has grown on me so much throughout only about a week! When I first joined, I thought this was the ideal 'stuffy old lady name' and I thought it was ugly. Now, I love it and I think it's refreshing, and can fit any age!
I think it has potential for being popular. Top 50? Maybe, but I say it's likely. I like the nicknames Miri and Mira. I would use it, too.

Indeed, it was an awesome dream. Some woman who claimed to be able to predict the future said that Miriam would become extremely popular (I assumed that meant top 10), and she had a list of other soon-to-be-popular girl names. Unfortunately, I forgot the rest after waking up, but I think one was Violet.
