[Opinions] Amy?
This common, but nice name, is a little underrated around here. WDYT? I think it's a great nickname. Is it a good nickname? For what? Is it boring?

It's my name and I've always loved it. Pretty, cute, easy to spell. :) It's a sweet name and fun too. It is a nickname for Amelia, a name which I personally don't care for. I've also heard it used for Amanda.

People say it's too 80s, 90s or whatever date, but I really don't see it that way at all. In a way, I'd like to see it make a comeback.I could see it being use as a nickname for Amity or Amber.

I really like it. I think it's sweet. It could be a nickname, I suppose, but I think it works just fine on its own.Actually, I had a dream awhile back that my mom had a baby and named her Amy Helen. When I told my mom, she said that she would probably use Amelia and call her Amy.

To be honest I prefer Amy on it's own. And i prefer that spelling I don't like it spelt Aimee

I like it! Although it was a bit overused in the past, I think that Amy is still a good name (although I think it's great on its own, I also like it as a nickname for Amelia).

I've always loved the name and it really isn't used very often anymore. I like it best as a full name, but suppose it could be used as a nn for Amelia.

I like it, even on its own.

Amy has grown on me. It's simple, sweet, and I don't think it's boring.

It's boring and dated to the seventies and maybe eighties. I wouldn't use it as a nickname for anything.

I prefer it on its own. It's sweet, simple, yet it still has a lively quality to it.It could work as a nickname for Amelia, Amabel, and possibly these too: Amity
Amethyst
Damiana

I only know one and it's spelt Aimee, but she prn it the same as Amy. I think it's very sweet and underused around here. I used to find it boring, but now I think it's sweet and simple. I also like Amelia nn Amy?:)
