[Opinions] Leo?
What do you think of Leo? I'm really loving it right now. I like Leonardo too, but I prefer just Leo. :)

I love Leo; however, I prefer Leopold, which is one of my absolute favorite male names.

I have given Leo much thought recently. Mostly because my 35 year old brother's name was Leonardo (but went with Leonard). Growing up I cringed everytime I said his name as I would invariablely get a giggle. We called him Leo at home but never took that nickname outside of the house- it was just too uncool. Len was the best we could do for my surfing aussie brother with a proponderous Italian name...but this was way before Leonardo Dicaprio and way before 'o' became cool.Needless to say, I love Leo, I always have.

I love Leo. Just Leo, not short for anything.

I can't bring myself to really like Leo, in spite of the fact that it's my grandson's name. To me, it will always be an "old man who wears pants that come up to his nipples and shirts with golf clubs on them" name. This is due to my age. As Pam and Linda point out, names go in and out of fashion, and tend to come back in style after a hundred year or so rest, which means that people often end up puzzled and appalled by the names of their grandchildren. I bet today's young people will have grandchildren by the names of Linda, Patricia, Gary, and Donald! And in spite of the fact that there's a cute, lively, two-year-old running around my house by the name of Leo, it's still an old man name to me!Leo's full name is Leonidas. At first *that* seemed unbearably strange, but I admit I had never heard it before. It's now grown on me, and I can say I like Leonidas, but Leo not so much.

I like it. I'm not too keen on Leonardo, so I prefer Leo on its own.

I really, really, really hate it. I like Leon, Leonard, Leonardo and even Leopold. But not Leo. It's awful.

Leo is my fave boy's name. In fact, it's the only male name I've ever truly loved. Since I won't be having a ds, I'd like to see somebody using it. Oh, prefer it over Leonardo as well.
