[Opinions] Annora
The post below mentioned Annora, and it got me thinking: why don't we hear this name more often?
I think it's enchanting. It isn't too frilly, or too weird, and it has a lot of nicknames (Anna, Annie, Nora, even Noor if you want to get creative). I really like it.

I've never heard this name used before, I actually saw it on here a few weeks-ish ago. I like it! I love Nora, but don't like it as a full name, and couldn't think up many longer names that had a 'nora' in it, so I thought this was a good one.
I love Honora, but for some reason Annora isn't nearly as appealing to me. It must just be the way it looks since they sound the same!
But no matter how you spell it, I totally agree. It's such an elegant, gorgeous name, and very surprising that it isn't heard more often.

I think it is really pretty too. Im surprised that it is not more popular.
I prefer simple, unassuming Nora. I also like Norah.
It reminds me of Anara too..
One of my favorites! I adore it!
I'm with you. I really like Annora too. I hadn't heard of it until a few years ago when a friend of mine on another name forum told me she sometimes wished she had named her dd Annora rather than Nora. She felt it would have better complemented their Irish surname. Anyway, I was shocked by how much I liked it. Lots of nn possibilities as well.
I like Honora too.

I like Annora, and was shocked to find that it isn't in the top 1000. In fact, someone on here posted a list not long ago that indicated almost no one had been named Annora last year. I think the count was just 12 baby girls.
Nora is a personal favorite name of mine, so I'd be very inclined to go with Annora nn Nora. Then the daughter could pick the more elegant and feminine Annora or the simpler, bolder Nora.

It is in my top 10 and I adore it. I imagine it will be a difficult one to convince a non-name nerd SO of one day because it is so unfamiliar. But I would totally use it IRL in a heartbeat. I was shocked that only 18 babies last year in the US were named Annora. Such an underappreciated treasure :)
I really like it too. It's been on my list for a while.
I love Annora. I don't understand why it isn't more popular either. It's easy to spell and pronounce.
