AWESOME! It sounds really old and and reminds me of Texas. I think there's a children's book with a character named Calpurnia Tate.

Hot diggety-dog. Love it. Artsy and fun.The housekeeper in "To Kill a Mockingbird" was named Calpurnia. I always thought it was a super name.

I love Calpurnia! I first think of Julius Caesar's wife.

My first impression is that this would be an awesome name for a female cat, only spelled Calpurrnia. Then again, I recently adopted (actually rescued) a male cat we named Jasper -- only now I wish we had spelled it Jaspurr. ;-)Seriously, I want to like Calpurnia but I find it stuffy for some reason. I say that because I have absolutely no personal frame of reference for the name (literary associations don't count). Still, it's quite stuffy to me. Bonus: it has a pleasant sound.

Reminds me of the maid from To Kill a Mockingbird. (Not a bad association, it's just the first thing that popped into my mind.)
