Just wondering what are you're thoughts on the name Elena (eh-lay-nah)? And what nicknames do you suggest?

Also, what do you think about it with the middle names either Lola or Layla/Leila (or other spellings)

Elena is lovely but doesn't go with any of those middle names. Because the second syllable of Elena starts with L, it sounds too rhymey with an L middle name too.

I would use the nickname Lena or Ellie

I like it when it's EH-le-na, but I don't really like e-lay-na. Elle, Ellie, Elen, Lena, L, E? I like Elena Leila.

I prefer Elaina (the pronunciation is more obvious) and I have used it with the nn Lainey for a character. I think that both Lola and Leila make awkward middle names for Elena/Elaina (too many L and E sounds.)

I love Elena and don't like to plan nns so wouldn't bother.

don't like it with Lola or Layla/Leila as there's too many Ls in there.

Elena is pretty.

nn: Leni or Lena.

Elena Leila over Elena Lola because Leila sounds and looks better with Elena.
