Meredith is boring on a girl and interesting on a boy, imo.

Meredith is practically the only boy's name I like on a girl, and I like it a lot. It's so much more common on girls these days that if I was going to use it on a boy, I'd probably spell it Maredudd.

I love Meredith. I tend to like more obviously feminine names for girls, so it's interesting that Meredith appeals to me so much, but I think it has a very intelligent feel to it.

It's one of the few gender neutral names I prefer on a girl. In fact, I really like it for a girl. It still has a slight masculine edge, so it sounds more tough/athletic/intelligent girl, which I like a lot more than a frilly princessy name.

On a boy, it's okay. I don't love it, but it has a cool academic feel to it.
