[Opinions] Susannah
On a scale of 1-10, how would you rate Susannah? I really like it. I think it has a timeless feel, and I prefer its femininity to plain Susan, and incomplete Suzanne (just my opinions!). I dislike the NN Sue, but Susie is kind of cute.Anyway, WDYT? What type of personality do you picture for a Susannah, and do you like any NN's?

I adore it, but prefer it spelled Susanna. The 'h' looks unnecessary to me. It's totally underused and it's very pretty. Susie is super cute! I picture a beautiful girl.

I really like it. It's going to be my nieces name, so I like it even more now. I would rate it an 8/10. :)

I would rate Susannah as a 10. I love it, plus it is a family name.I have always thought Susannah and Elizabeth would be a beautiful sister set.

Don't know what # I'd give it. I do like it though and the name's not overused and it's got some class... It's a sensible name w/out being extremely boring. I like that in a name. I like Sue and Susie ok, though the latter's rather childish and I could see her growing out of that quickly. Susannah's nice enough a nn's not necessary. 3 syls isn't THAT long. Not sure what kind of person I'd picture specifically. I don't know an abundance of Susannahs... It does have a bit of a "Little House on the Prairie" feel to it though.

I'd rate Susannah a 9 (and Susanna a 10). I'm mad about it. I agree with your assessment of Susan (plain, abrupt) and Suzanne (incomplete) and I cannot stand Sue. I do like Susie and Susu / Suzu / Zuzu although I think that kind of nn should be reserved for family. It might be too precious, huh? Sannah / Sanna is kind of nice as well but with an English (or American English) accent, it does remind me of Santa. Other nns could be Anna and Annie. The thing is, I've never known a Susannah to give an impression of what she'd be like so I'd have to go by the image the name evokes: sweet, spunky, old fashioned, clever, witty.

Hmmmm... I'd say Susannah is rated at a... 9.
For personalties... I'd say that a Susannah is someone who is quieter and sweeter.
For nicknames I'd say I like "Anna" or "Annie" or "Susie." Possibly, "Sandy..."

I love Susannah! Two teachers at my school have this name, one is Macedonian (or there abouts), and the other is German... just a random fact... yes, I love the nickname Susie, in particular on a little kid.. like they can go by Susie, and then when they're older they can be formally known by the their full name or by Sue.. I rate it about 7...

I'm not keen on the h, so with the h, 5, and without it, 8.
I picture a fairly bossy person, who has many good qualities but is very rigid in her views, and moans a lot. Blame my sister. :)

I'd rate it a 8.5, I like it a lot!
I love Zsazsa as a nn, honestly *blush*

Susannah - 7It has a really Southern timeless feel to me. I picture her as very friendly, hospitable, kind, fun to be around-the perfect hostess.
I also dislike Sue as a nickname and Susie seems ditzy to me. I like Annie or Anna or Sunny. She seems like she would have a sunny personality.

I like it, but not with the final 'e'. Susanna is better imo. Zuzanna?

The final "E"? Did you mean the final "H"?

10. I love this name, it's one of my all-time favorites. I can't ever decide whether I prefer Susanna or Susannah, though. I'd imagine the bearer to be gentle, and content. I really love the nn Annie, or Sukie, depending on the person.

I'll give it a 5. I don't care for Susie, but I like Zannie and Zanna / Zannah as nicknames for Susannah. I also prefer Susannah to Susan and Suzanne. Susannah makes me think of a friendly and down-to-earth, yet energetic girl. I can imagine her as someone who enjoys nature and is a bit of a tomboy, but likes feminine things as well. I picture a Susannah as having long hair.

6. I prefer Shoshannah but Susannah is nice, too. I like Sanna(h) for a nn or a full name.

Susannah gets a 9 from me (though Susanna gets a 10). Susanna is one of my very favourite names. I like the nicknames Sukie and Suzu.

10! Use to be one of my favorites and I still love it!! Susannah has always seemed like a "blue" name to me, haha, (to reference Rosamund Catherina's comment about it being "pink").... like blue gingham. I always imagine a fair skinned, dark haired, extremely smart and friendly girl. I love the nn Susie but also like Sukie and Susa too

10, easily. I much prefer Susannah to Susanna, but I prefer Susanne and Suzanne to Susannah. The name Susannah itself has a pink color to me, kind of like a watermelon, if that isn't too ridiculous. The kind of person I would see as a Susannah would have a summery personality, which encompasses everything that comes along with summer. Ladybugs, really green grass, bright, unending days, lemonade...I guess I'm trying to say that I would assume the person to be strong, with a lot of energy and a perpetually optimistic attitude. Just someone who's always busy enjoying life. As for nicknames, I like Sukie, Suzette, Anne / Anna, Susie / Suzy and Suse.
