[Opinions] WDYT of Paris?...
I love the name Paris for girl! I think it's so pretty :)I know that lots of people immediately think of Paris Hilton, but as I love Michael Jackson, I only think of his daughter Paris Jackson instead. What are your thoughts on the name Paris?

It's not that bad on a girl. I think Paris Hilton is kind of old hat now. I don't hear from her constantly anymore.

Despite its classic beginnings, I just don't care for Paris. It's tryndee to the nth degree. OTOH, my dh knows a man in his 50s named Paris. Interesting, huh?

I like Paris, but it does have that prissy entitled feel to it. It is very pretty though!Don't like it on a boy. I like it on Paris from mythology, but today I feel the name could only be used on a girl.

Better than Milhouse, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Nice and especially Giggleswick, but still silly. What about Lutetia?

While the Paris Hilton and Paris Jackson associations are there, I prefer to think of the city of light! If I do that, then I really like the name a lot. If Miss Hilton comes to mind, then I think trashy and attention seeking socialite, which is not endearing!

I think it's alright. Paris Hilton doesn't come to mind if I meet someone named Paris, it only does if I see it written down unattached to anything and try to think of people named Paris. It does sound sort of too evocative of the city, in a cliche and try-too-hard way. But it isn't annoyingly so, like Milan or Berlin is. The woman who gave me my first professional haircut was named Paris, and I remember thinking it was a neat name. I wouldn't use it though - nms.I know it's supposed to be unisex, but on a guy it would seem very effeminate to me.

Not very BtN-ish of me, but I don't like Paris on a boy at all. I'd much rather see it on a girl. However, I do think of Paris Hilton. :(

I used to hate it, but now I think it's very pretty :) .

Paris is all male to me, not only is it a name of a Greek guy, the city's name is a male noun in Croatian.
However, I think it's pretty much ruined for a boy in the US.

I don't really like it because it seems like sort of a "wannabe name", if that makes any sense. Like people who use it are mostly just trying too hard to be cool/stylish.

I like it. On a boy.I find it kinda trashy for a girl actually. I don't like to say that about names, but Paris Hilton and Perez Hilton has ruined the name for me.

Ditto.

AgreeExcept that I'm not sure I really like it on a boy, even. I like how historical it is. That makes me want to like it.

TrittoI'd be too afraid to ever use it on a boy for this reason alone.

DittoAs a male name, it has roots in ancient Greece. As a female name, it's very modern and pretty much tied to people like Paris Hilton.

I do like it, and I think of Paris Jackson first too.
she's a goegeous girl and I think the name is adorable on her but it's still more of a boys name to me. I wouldn't use it though.

It's not my favorite name, since it makes me think of Paris Hilton, and I consider her to be one of the most vapid, spoiled "celebrities" out there. But then, I'm also reminded of Paris from "Romeo & Juliet"...the dorky guy who Juliet dropped for Romeo. Nah, not a good name at all.
