[Opinions] Faelan and Faolan
With Ronan these are two Irish names that are appealing to me right now. Like Faelan because it has that AE spelling I like, it's close to Caelan which DP likes But Faolan has an interesting look to it, too but the spelling may put people off. Anyone know if they're pn differently? I got the feeling that Faelan is Fey-lahn and Faolan is Fee-lahn/lawn. Is that right? Is the 'failing' connection too close?Any combo ideas?

Faolan is fee-lawn and Faelan is fay-lan I believe. It sounds I think too 'different' and like Feline to me. Not too sure if it's usable anywhere other than in Ireland/ gaelic or celtic speaking areas.
Ronan is super cute though.

I like the look of Faolan, but it doesn't have intuitive pronunciation for Americans. I also like Faelan quite a bit (and Caelan). I don't think it sounds like "failin'" or "failing" because the L is definitely attached to the second syllable when I say Faelan, and when I say Failing it's attached to the first.
